Originating in ancient Rome, croquettes have stood the test of time and become a food enjoyed by people all over the world. Though they come in different shapes, sizes, and flavors, croquettes are a much-loved meal in many places and are served in restaurants across the country.

What is a Croquette?

A croquette is a portion of minced meat shaped into a patty or small pile and then covered in bread crumbs. The Romans covered their croquettes in pastry to make traveling with meat easier but modern day versions of the dish have replaced this pastry with bread crumbs.
